HERE’S HOW THIS WORKS

From this moment until after your event, you're in good hands. Here's what our time together looks like and what you can always expect from me.

YOU’RE OFFICIALLY BOOKED

Your contract is signed and deposit is in. Your date is locked and I'm yours.

PRE-EVENT MUSIC PLANNING

I'll send you access to my music planning app to dial in every detail of your event.

FINAL DETAILS CALL

A quick 15-minute call to go over your timeline and music together before the event.

DAY-BEFORE CONFIRMATION

I'll send a final confirmation email with all logistics confirmed.

EVENT DAY

I arrive 60 minutes before start time. Set up, soundcheck, and ready before your first guest walks in.

POST-EVENT FOLLOW-UP

Within 48 hours, a thank-you and recap from me, plus a few moments from the night.

The playlist is everything. Before your event, I'll send you access to my music planning app, but here's what I'll be thinking about as I build your set.

2–5 songs you absolutely need to hear. These are locked in.

DO NOT PLAY LIST

Genres, artists, or specific songs that are off the table, always respected.

YOUR CROWD

Age range, vibe, and energy level of your guests helps me read the room before I'm even there.

SET STRUCTURE

I'll map the energy arc of the night (warm up, peak, wind down) based on your timeline.

ANCHOR MOMENT

Is there a specific song or moment you want the crowd to go wild for? Tell me and we'll build to it.

GENRE MIX

R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Old School, current hits, I'll mix what fits your crowd best.

GOOD TO KNOW

You don't have to plan the entire playlist; that's my job. Just give me anchors, and I'll build everything around them. Trust the process.

DAY-OF DETAILS

WHAT I Need FROM YOU

The less you have to think about on the day of your event, the better. Here's what helps me show up fully prepared.

VENUE ACCESS

  • Confirm load-in time with your venue and share it with me at least one week before

  • Let venue staff know a DJ is arriving. I'll need access to the performance area

  • Share parking or loading dock instructions if applicable

SET UP REQUIREMENTS

  • DJ booth space near the dance floor or main area

  • At least 2 accessible power outlets within 10 feet of the setup area

  • If the venue has a house sound system, let me know in advance

TIMELINE

  • Share your full event timeline (arrival, program flow, end time) 7 days before

  • I'll arrive 60 minutes before set start time, no exceptions

  • If your timeline shifts, give me as much notice as possible

FINAL BALANCE REMINDER

Your remaining balance is due 2 weeks before your event date. You can pay via your client portal or reminder email. Events are not performed until the balance is cleared.

COMMON QUESTIONS

THINGS CLIENTS USUALLY ASK

  • Yes, if you want. Guest requests can help me read the room in real time. I'll always use my judgment on what fits the moment, but if someone has a request, send them my way.

  • Let me know as early as possible during the event. If I'm available to extend, I will. Additional time is billed at my overtime rate, which is in your contract.

  • Short technical breaks are built into longer sets, but I always ensure music is playing. Your guests won't notice a gap.

  • I come fully equipped with backup gear. In the unlikely event of a technical issue, I handle it — quickly and without disrupting the vibe.

  • Absolutely, drop it in the music planning app. I won't play from Spotify directly, but I use your playlist to understand your taste and build accordingly.

  • Entirely up to you. Some clients prefer no introduction, others love a full announcement. Do whatever feels right for your event.
